# How we work: consultancy & bespoke development

## Phases

1. **Discover** (Week 1): Interviews, processes and data. We come out with prioritised use cases and what we will not build.
2. **Architecture** (Week 2): Domain, contracts, C4 diagrams and recorded decisions. A plan you can estimate.
3. **Build** (Weeks 3–8): Design, front end, back end and AI move together in two-week sprints with a demo at the end of each.
4. **Deploy** (Weeks 8–10): IaC, CI/CD, canary releases and observability from day one in production.
5. **Operate** (Ongoing): We measure, improve and hand over to your team with runbooks. We stay just long enough.

## Engagement models

- **Fixed-scope project**: Scope, timeline and price agreed after the architecture phase. For new products and MVPs.
- **Dedicated team**: Senior engineers embedded in your team for months, on your hours and with your tools.
- **Forward deployed AI**: 6 to 10 weeks to take one AI use case to production, with evals and handover.
